Thanks to all who came to the Holiday Home tour. The rain held off just long enough and the crowds came. It was fun to meet some new friends and catch up with some old. Hardly had a chance to take any pics the day of, so these will have to do. Enjoy and have a happy holiday and best of luck in the new year!

ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by, 'edged in Edna St. Vincent Millay?' Did you use her poetry? I am curious because I am related to her.
ReplyDeleteDandy,
ReplyDeleteEdna Saint Vincent Millay is my favorite poet. On the edge of that table I Carved an excerpt from Her poem Renascence into the lead strip. She is credited of course. I believe she created very beautiful work.
Renascence
"All I could see from where I stood
Was three long mountains and a wood;
I turned and looked another way,
And saw three islands in a bay.
So with my eyes I traced the line
Of the horizon, thin and fine,
Straight around till I was come
Back to where I'd started from;
And all I saw from where I stood
Was three long mountains and a wood."
Edna Saint Vincent Millay
I am curious what is your relation? Interesting genetic stuff you have.
